Comment by Lois Ewing on July 28, 2009 at 4:04pm: My vet told me to give ginger snaps to my dog, a border collie/lab about 20 minutes before I would take her in the car. This seemed to help but as she got older this problem has gotten much better. I also have a 1 1/2 year old Havanese, Tate, who has no problem at all riding in a car. In fact he came home from the breeder in a 100 mile drive without a bit of trouble. Good luck in helping this dog.

Comment by Sandra on July 16, 2008 at 3:49pm: Hey Sandra: My Mom has a new Havanese named Noe. They are having a problem with him getting sick in the car. Since my parent's like to take their dog with them everywhere this has been a real problem. Now they don't want to take him in the car unless they have to. Is motion sickness/anxiety a problem with this breed of dogs? Any suggestions?
