Love your Schnauzer!! Prissy is our Baby. She is the 4th Schnauzer we have had over the years, along with Basset Hounds, Boxers, and any stray our children could bring home.

Hello to the group! I am new here and just wanted to share a picture of my little man, Sam (a.k.a. Batman). We adopted him when he was 6.5 yrs. old when he was diagnosed as being diabetic (insulin-dependent). I am proud to report that he is now 9.5 yrs. old and is so healthy that he's the only dog that can keep up with our 3.5 yr. old adopted female dog! If you would like to see Sam's webpage, it is at www.dogster.com/dogs/174826

Hi Jennie. My name is Jeannie and I used to have a mini schnauzer. His name was Thaddeus and he died July 23, 2007. We have a new dog, Lucy and she is more of my husband's dog than mine. She is a poodle/terrier cross and she's a real Daddy's girl. Thaddeus was all mine!!! He was my boy and after having him in my lilfe for 17 years, I still cry for him sometimes.

I couldn't bring myself to get another mini schnauzer because I didn't want to feel like we were replacing Thaddeus.
I can completely relate to your description of your dogs. They are so different! And so smart! Once, when my husband and I had been out for a few hours, Thaddeus had amused himself by tearing up newspaper that we had left o n the couch. when he heard us pull up in front of the house, he got busy trying to hide his mess. When we walked in ther door, there he was, trying to stuff the shredded newspaper between the cushions of the couch! Boy, I sure miss him and love him so.

Enjoy your time with your sweetie. Thanks for listening.
