- About Me:
- I am a very active volunteer with ARFLA (501 c3) No kill, all breed rescue. I foster for ARFLA and have 8 foster dogs as well as my own 4. As of 6/09 I joined the first group of people to sign up for a volunteer program with our city animal control. It is a kill shelter funded by taxes. I work very hard for both places and have recently been signed up with American Boston Terrier Rescue as well. I love dogs and have and will go the extra mile to save one.
- What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
- The way they enjoy their food when I know there are dogs going hungry. The way they cuddle next to me makes me remember the dogs who long for human touch and love. Their barks at the sounds outside. They remind me how devoted they are to their home and I think of the homeless dogs I see almost every day. They have welcomed MANY dogs into our home and they seem to understand they will only be here for a few weeks or months and then they too will have a happy home.
