You have a friend any time no problem. My emailadres is antoinettevk@cox.net that I read very frequent! With this site you have to wait a little. Glad I can help. Hope you have Moni in a crate during the night with an old alarmclock under the blanket?
I don't like the crates but for the first 2 months they feel very safe in there and it is great for potty training! I did it with Jolie and I did it with Lacey only for 2 months but now she is dry during the night!
Hope to hear soon Hug antoinette
congratulations, Moni looks soooo sweet! About your questions; don't worry Moni being quiet and not being as energetic as your poodle, that's the breed they are quiet. I see also the difference with my shih tzu Jolie. I like it though because everybody asks me; is she always this sweet? They are so mellow, I start to understand why people say; once a maltese always a maltese. they are so easy going it is really a joy. Jolie I have to correct once in a while or tell her to take it easy but Lacey is always this way I love that about her. An other thing I would like to let you know; watch what you are feeding her be cautious and read the labels if you go with commercial dogfood because there is a lot of food coloring and additives which make the tearstaining worse.
and give her daily flaxseedmeal that's great for her coat and her insides! And I would recommend once daily for at least the first 2 months; Nutri-cal at night before bedtime that way she gets some extra vitamins and it helps her get thru the night which she needs because they are so fragile in the beginning. Of course if there are more experienced maltese owners; don't hesitate to give me some feedback or critisism if I am wrong. If you would like to know what I am feeding her just email me any time also if you have more questions
enjoy your new puppy you will fall in love with breed as much as I did and I had several kinds of dogs in the past.
kisses for Moni warmest regards antoinette
