I am literally sick at my stomach reading this. Our local animal shelter was recently closed down due to negligence on the mgmt part. They were not even feeding the animals or providing basic needs. It disgusted me as our shelter is part of the city…

Kack, rescued from Humane Society, about 8 1/2 now

Jack is a mixed brink..mostly Jack Russell but some rat terrier in him...that is why we have a yard that looks like a golf course...all his digging. He is the best fella I have ever had and my big burly marine hubby kisses Jack in the am before me!

About Me:

happily married 17 yrs, no kids, dogs my entire life...retired due to health after 18 yrs in management in a fortune 500 company. Hubby retired from flying at FEDEX after 30 yrs..he was one of the first pilots there. I do volunteer work with a non profit HIV/AIDS support group and the humance society

What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?

We adoptd Jack in 2001, two months before 9/11/ When we were married, I had three. Each lived to be 17. Jack was at the humance society, in isolation...he was so miserable that nobody wanted him and they were taking him to be euthanized. They brought him out..he had been turned in by a street person who said he had been abused. He had horrible separation anxiety and weighed 13lbs. He now weighs 29lb. He adores everyone and they adore him, especially kids. He managed to work his way not only ON our bed but now sleeps between us all night. He is special.a o

My dogs, ad nauseum

Jack is mycurrent wonderdog. I have spoken of im briefly in my initial opening.

Having grown up with mixed breed dogs and six siblings(couldn't tell the lot of the two groups(apart), I became a member of the local humane society. My first dog who joined my home,through adoption,house once I was an adult, was Needle,. Needle was named by my forgettable ex-first husband. Her teeth were so sharp she felt like needles.
