Maui has passed on...

It is with a heavy heart that I
am writing to let you know that
Maui passed away today.

I thank you and everyone in our
community who has kept us in
your thoughts and prayers these
past few days.

I know that Maui was a little
part of a lot of people's lives.

I am going to disconnect from email
for a few days, but if you would
like to send your condolences or
words of support, please post a
comment below.

Please know that I will read all
of your kind messages when I
re-emerge sometime next week.

Again, many thanks for your
support and prayers this past week.
Molly and I (and most importantly,
Maui) felt them. Thank you from
the bottom of my heart.

She was truly our baby. Just remember Maui is at Rainbow Bridge having fun and is no longer suffering. My condolences on your loss. I loved my dogs more than I would love a person and can understand how you must be feeling. When my dogs died I felt that God finally had ended their suffering. May Maui rest in peace.

I felt your soul soaring above us all, showering us with special puppy love and blessings. We all love you and feel a special kinship with you and your folks. Rest well. When the body is spent and recovery is not possible, we can only wish for a good passing. I know yours was good and you were in the arms of James and Molly. God keep you in peace. We will meet you someday. When you meet my Misty, Precious, and Maggie at the Bridge, tell them their mommy will be with them some day. Your little Maui is now so much a part of all of our lives. She is there for all of us. Thank you for sharing her with us.

I share in your grief and am offering K9 comfort from my five furry kids. They share in all I do as I know Maui did in your life. We must let them go for they are only borrowed from a higher source. When it's time to call them home He does in his own way. Know that our hearts too are heavy, but we share in the joy you had with her and now we share in the joy you will feel, once the grief and sadness is gone, knowing that her spirit will always inspire you to move on and move higher.

God love you and Bless you in this hard time. May your sadness and tears become a memory and know that little Maui is always with you. She has left her paw prints on your hearts for ever.

I pray that you take comfort in knowing that you did everything you could for her and that she knows how much you love her. Sometimes the hardest thing that we can do is allow the blessing of release. She is now running free from pain at the Bridge waiting for the time that you all will be reunited. Another star shines brightly tonight in the heavens lighting your way compliments of Maui. Know that she will be watching over you and waiting for you. In your quiet times listen for her because she will visit you to let you know that she is okay and the she will always be there for you and always love you. In the stillness of your heart you will hear her little nails on the floor, feel her little body on the bed and feel her lick your face and whisper in your ear that she is near and that she loves you. She will comfort you when you are feeling down and warm your heart when you are feeling blue. She will bring a smile to your face when you are crying and nudge you when you need it. Thank you for sharing her with us. Our lives are brighter for knowing her and the heavens are rejoicing to have her home again without the pain. She will wait for you as loyal as she has always been. Thank you for loving her! God Speed Maui, run fast, jump high and play hard. Mommy and Daddy are watching for your signs!
