I Remember Love

The Social Network for Dog Lovers

It is with a heavy heart that I
am writing to let you know that
Maui passed away today.

I thank you and everyone in our
community who has kept us in
your thoughts and prayers these
past few days.

I know that Maui was a little
part of a lot of people's lives.

I am going to disconnect from email
for a few days, but if you would
like to send your condolences or
words of support, please post a
comment below.

Please know that I will read all
of your kind messages when I
re-emerge sometime next week.

Again, many thanks for your
support and prayers this past week.
Molly and I (and most importantly,
Maui) felt them. Thank you from
the bottom of my heart.

Aloha,

James Jacobson

The Soul of a Dog ~

My playful dog would sneak up as I slept
Then my face he would swab with his tongue
Though most of his loyal exploits and faith
And his acts of pure love went unsung.

What better example of love can be found
Than the love of a true faithful pet
A dog whose consistent attention to you
Leaves memories you never can forget

A dog unrequited love will you give
Your affection he never will spurn.
Responsive he'll be to your every command
And will nothing expect in return.

He'll accept all affection that's directed his way
But content if he just can be near.
Yet always he hopes you will reach out your hand
And scratch behind both of his ears.
My deepest and most sincere condolences on the passing of Maui
Maui is at Rainbow Bridge with all of the other wonderful furry four-legged children
that have passed on.
In time her passing will be a little easier on you because you will start to remember the wonderful love you shared together and it will make you smile once more.
God bless you and Molly My prayers and tears are with you

To James,
What can I say, my heart breaks for you and I hope one day the pain eases.
Its not easy, I lost my Dad five months ago and my pain is unbelievable and
I am NOT comparing. The pain to me is the same. I am truly sorry of your loss.

Sorry to hear about Maui. I can relate to you well. But remember you and Maui shared a precious bond over all those years. She knew you loved her. Now she is at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for you. You have her in your heart so she is never really gone from you. You both have a piece of each other's hearts.

Dearest James, I am writing from Australia. I have prayed for your strength since your video. I understand that grief so deeply, my heart is with you. Maui has crossed the bridge but will always be with you.
I planted two plants I knew nothing about (not a plant person) and one blooms beautifully on the date of "his" death and the other, on "his" birthday. They are never gone but leave an indelible imprint on our lives and show their love after in ways we can understand.
May she romp and frolic in the freedom from her aging body and continue to bring joy to you and all she loved.
You demonstrated the most painful show of your love and you are no doubt clouded with doubt.. Maui is more grateful for your eternal connection and that decision you had to make.
I am crying as I write this, but these are tears of joy .... who is lucky to find true love in life and death? I hope she meets Joshy there. Even though you don't know me, it will bring us all closer together.

And remember, there is no bottom to your heart.
They say that time heals - no it does not but what it does is make us grow and understand. The pain heals.

Yours,
Cas xxx
my love and prayers are with you..... she, if anyone, will get you through this.

Dear James and Molly,
I was so sad when I read your message this morning. What a wonderful live Maui lived...you were so lucky to have had each other...what wonderful memories you have of your lives together. When your heart is heavy and full of grief, remember the playful eyes, the wagging tail and the romps in the park and smile knowing that Maui is with you in spirit. The unconditional love Maui gave you lives on. She truly is in a better place where there is no pain. She will be with you always. Cookie and Alpine

Dear James and Molly,
As I sit here with the tears streaming down my face I want you both to know that I am so grateful to you for sharing Maui with us in such a loving and uplifting way. She is a beautiful light who will continue to remind us all to Remember Love. Thank you for giving us all the gift of being a part of your beautiful relationship with one of the cutest, sweetest fur babies I have ever had to pleasure to "know".
My heart goes out to both of you. You and Maui have been and will continue to be in my prayers. Always remember, she awaits you on the Rainbow Bridge..... pain free and care free and still shining her light.
Love & Light,

My prayers for peace and comfort go out to you and Molly go out this early morning. I was saddened deeply this morning to find out precious Maui had passed. It brought back how I felt only a year and a half ago when my Demi went to the bridge. Despite your sadness, Maui's spirit will be your bouy in the days to come, as sad as you must be in her leaving "always too soon".
From the bridge with angels wings, she will remind your heart that she is always there at every moment of every day , and is just a sweet memory away. Rest assured she waits with love and patience for her devoted master . Blessings to you both,
Barbara
