Maui has passed on...

It is with a heavy heart that I
am writing to let you know that
Maui passed away today.

I thank you and everyone in our
community who has kept us in
your thoughts and prayers these
past few days.

I know that Maui was a little
part of a lot of people's lives.

I am going to disconnect from email
for a few days, but if you would
like to send your condolences or
words of support, please post a
comment below.

Please know that I will read all
of your kind messages when I
re-emerge sometime next week.

Again, many thanks for your
support and prayers this past week.
Molly and I (and most importantly,
Maui) felt them. Thank you from
the bottom of my heart.

My dog Kasey is wineing by my side as to let me know that she knows why I am crying. You must remember that Maui has touched so many hearts and in so many ways that she will live in all of our hearts forever. Now that she is at rainbow bridge she will playing with all of our loved ones who await our arrival. She can now watch over you each and every day. She will always be at your side and if you sit real still you will be able to feel her. Mya, Kasey and I will light two candles for you and Maui on our walk today as we go by the church. Now is a time to reflect on all the wonderful times and special love that you two shared. Heal and remember to let love in when the time in right for you to love again. Maui would want that. Just remember we are all here for you.

She left, when she knew it OK to go. She knows we are all with you in heart and mind and you'll never be alone.
I'm so sorry, but, it was for the best. She is now in puppy heaven, no pain, no sadness, just fun and full of friends like us. Love transends through time and time is endless. I send you and your family much love...........................You'll be fine, give yourself a little time, but, just a little! Maui wants you to be happy because she won't be, untill she knows you are well and happy again.

I have to agree with Judi, that our pets are special angels sent to watch over us. They are here to teach us about unconditional love toward one another. Maui has touched the hearts of many of us and has truly been an inspiration. Time will heal our sadness but we will never forget.

I read this morning of Maui's passing with sadness for you and Molly but also with the knowledge of how Maui is out of her discomfort. She is not really gone of course, and that special soul will be a part of you, and all of us, for eternity. I have lost several pets that I loved dearly and I know how hard it is. I also really feel that they will be with us again someday and are watching over us now. i lost a friend 2 years ago at the age of 17 , boomer, so i know what you are going thru
