I Remember Love

The Social Network for Dog Lovers

It is with a heavy heart that I
am writing to let you know that
Maui passed away today.

I thank you and everyone in our
community who has kept us in
your thoughts and prayers these
past few days.

I know that Maui was a little
part of a lot of people's lives.

I am going to disconnect from email
for a few days, but if you would
like to send your condolences or
words of support, please post a
comment below.

Please know that I will read all
of your kind messages when I
re-emerge sometime next week.

Again, many thanks for your
support and prayers this past week.
Molly and I (and most importantly,
Maui) felt them. Thank you from
the bottom of my heart.

Aloha,

James Jacobson

Hi James,
I'm so very sorry. Maui was so lucky that you were her daddy. She passed on knowing she was very loved. There is no better gift to YOU now, than that. HOld onto your memories. She lives on in your heart!

James and Molly, I am so sorry to hear of Maui's passing. I know however that she had a fabulous life with you and could not have been loved more. If only all dogs could be loved like that! God's blessings to you. I know you were blessed by her as she was blessed by you.

I also know how hard it is to lose a pet. You never forget them; even the ones you had as a child. I do feel we will see them again some day, on the other side of that Rainbow Bridge.

Aloha, Pam

There are no words that can be spoken to express the sorrow I feel for you James. You, Molly and Maui are in my prayers, thoughts and meditations. Run free Maui.

My thoughts and prayers are lifted up to GOD for you at this difficult time!! Maui knew lots of love and knew when her time was up here on earth. It is true that dogs already know how to live a good Life -- loving everybody all the time and being 'nice' so they don't have to stay as long as we humans! Daily they teach us how to love and be loved! Now Maui is rewarded (as are all our beloved animals) and waiting for you/us at the Rainbow Bridge!!
Oodles of prayers and 56 crossed paws!! Thank you for your website and may GOD encourage you on your life's path!

Maui is running and playing right now with all our pets! There are no words that one can say when our loving baby's go away. Your "do you remember me" is a tribute to her and it was because you knew that someday this would be...that you put it together. Today she lives on...with the wonderful creation you made. We thank Maui and you and send our love!

James and Molly,
I am so very sorry to hear that Maui has passed on. She was met by another fur baby from the Rainbow Bridge to help her on her journey to the bridge. There she is once again young and healthy with out a care in the world. She will play and run with all the others until once again you are reunited. When that time comes you will cross the bridge together never having to be apart again. It is all the wonderful memories that will keep Maui alive forever in your hearts. I will light my Rainbow Bridge candle for Maui. God Speed Maui.

I am so sorry to hear of Maui's passing. Seems so mundane to say that. It's so much more than passing. I know exactly how you feel. I lost my soulmate Bailey 5 years ago and still it seems like yesterday he was sitting at my feet, looking at me like I hung the moon. We know Maui is in a wonderful place and that she will never leave your heart. James, I wish I could ease you into the phase where you start living again without Maui in this world. It is so hard and we miss them so much. Just know we all know where you are and we know Maui is with you in you heart forever. Please know you have my deepest sympathy and we are all here for you when you are ready. I wish I could say more to ease your pain. I just know that nothing works except time to realize Maui is happy, well and with you in a very different way.

With much love and sympathy.

Dear James and Molly.......
These will be tough days for you to get through. Many, many times the tears will come. You will never forget this little ball of white fur that you called Maui, and loved for all the many years that you were lucky enough to have her. She will always have a very special place in your heart, and in your memory. Believe me, she will be bouncing around you forever in spirit. If possible, gather up all your photos of her and put them in a special box so that you can take them out and look at them. Then, remember her and all the joy and happiness that she gave you for all those years.
I send you much aloha, and hope that the sadness you feel right now will little by little fade, and you will fill those sadness pockets with special memory pockets that you can pull out and enjoy any time you wish. This time will come, but it will take awhile. As one who has "been there, done this", I know it will happen.
In the meantime, take all care of each other, and know that there are a lot of us "out here" who really care with all our hearts!

Dear James & Molly--I knew exactly how Maui was feeling when I watched her in your videos. My Westie, Rowdy had the same problems about one year ago. Over time, he, too, lost his sight and his hearing, but he never lost me. He wanted to be with me at all times--because he knew I would always love him and care for him. He saw his doctor several times, and all the treatment in the world could not help or save him. He had had shots and pills for his kidneys--and, finally, his doctor told me even though he was putting up a good front and a fantastic fight for me and acting like everything was okay, it was not. On our last visit, the doctor told me that his kidneys had shut down completely and that he would soon begin to really suffer from the poison that was now filling his body--there was nothing he could do for my baby boy. So, that is when Rowdy finally found peace--he was in my arms with his little tongue licking me, and he snuggled so tightly. I felt his precious life leave, and I knew instantly that he was at peace and in no more pain--I felt this from God--this is why I know how you felt and are feeling now about your precious Maui--Of course, this was not easy for me nor you. I still miss him terribly--I visit his grave often and am shedding tears as I write this to you--for both you and me. I am picturing Maui and Rowdy "seeing" each other and "hearing" each other as they play with all of the precious ones who have left this earth to be with God. The pain of your loss will subside, but your heart will never get over your Maui. I have had several babies over the past 50 years, and my heart has never gotten over any of them. I still have my Westie, Annie--I am getting ready to meditate with her--something you and Maui taught us--our meditation will center on both you and Molly and, of course, Maui. Love to you both--Nancy & Annie Cunningham.

It is with a very heavy heart that I respond to your very sad news, James. What will we all do without Maui, the very reason for your starting this website? Well, her legend will live on - that's for sure. Your readers will miss her so much - but of course, not as much as you; that's not possible. Just know she's playing over the Rainbow Bridge now, and I know you're so grateful for the years you had with her. She will sorely be missed. Sending hugs and compassionate tears -

Judy

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your dear sweet Maui.
In time the wonderful memories will replace the sadness you now feel. Be comforted by the enduring love and bond you share.

Dear Molly & James
Since I have lost 6 of my beloved dogs in the past 3 years (14-17 yrs old), I can feel your heartache. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
