I Remember Love

The Social Network for Dog Lovers

It is with a heavy heart that I
am writing to let you know that
Maui passed away today.

I thank you and everyone in our
community who has kept us in
your thoughts and prayers these
past few days.

I know that Maui was a little
part of a lot of people's lives.

I am going to disconnect from email
for a few days, but if you would
like to send your condolences or
words of support, please post a
comment below.

Please know that I will read all
of your kind messages when I
re-emerge sometime next week.

Again, many thanks for your
support and prayers this past week.
Molly and I (and most importantly,
Maui) felt them. Thank you from
the bottom of my heart.

Aloha,

James Jacobson

James and Molly,

I'm so very sorry at your loss, and I know that there are no words that can bring you real comfort just now. I have never posted on your site before, but I just had to tell you how much your Maui touched my life and how special she was to so many of us. Maui's time here was a light in the darkness, and that light will shine in your heart always.

James and Molly,

I, too, want to extend my sincerest sympathy to you and let you know that you are in my prayers. Like so many others here, I have gone through the experience of letting my precious dog go to the Rainbow Bridge and know exactly how you must be feeling right now. I like to picture her the way I believe she is now -- happy and healthy, running and playing freely without pain -- instead of the way she was the last time I saw her on this earth. The pain of losing them never completely goes away, just as it is when we lose a human loved one, but it does get a little easier as time goes on. God bless you, and thank you for sharing such a big part of your heart (Maui) with us.

It is with great sadness that I received the news of dear Maui. I lost my beloved Cinnamon, a Pomaranian two weeks ago. The love that our four legged companions give us leaves a hole in our/my heart. Knowing that little Cinnie is whole and no longer suffering from mitral valve disease gives me comfort. I hope that you know that dear Maui is scampering through the hills with Cinnie. My deepest sympathies.

Dear James and Molly,

I'm so sorry for you loss. I know how you feel to loose a beloved pet. I too lost a very loved pet 6 years ago. They are like children, the loss of a pet is like loosing a child. Maui will be anixously waiting for you on Rainbow Bridge and will give you more kisses than you can take when you arrive. Keep your faith and ask for His help to get you through this. Shed your tears now, it does get easier with time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear James and Molly. We send our sympathy to you in your time of loss and sorrow, but always remember the wonderful times you spent with Maui. That will warm your soul. We've lost three dogs of our own, but know that one day we'll meet up with them again in God's kingdom. I can't believe they won't be there and we'll have a chance to meet Maui then too. God bless you and yours and know you're in our prayers.

Dear James and Molly, My thoughts are with you as you go through this very difficult time. Remember all the great years you had with Maui - you were truly blessed to have her in your life as long as you did. The pain is very real and it does take time, but soon the happy memories will be the ones that bring a smile to your face when you think of her.

am SOOOO sorry that your wonderful, special Maui has passed on. But you do know that Maui will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.....and you will be reunited someday.

Having lost a dear family member who just happened to be a dog.....I know full well the depth of loss. Please know that you are thought of and take some time off to just grieve.

Much love to you,

Live each day as if it is the last day of your life.
Be thankful for every blessing.

James, my heart goes out to you and Molly. I also have a Maltese, who will be 14 in October, who is the last of my "Three Musketeers".

Words can't explain the grief you must be feeling, but just remember, she is in a better place now and will be so happy to see you when you get to the Rainbow Bridge.

Every time I watch your video, I see Suki, not Maui, and pray I will have her just a little while longer. Thanks so much for making that video. It just reinforces how special our "children" are to us and how we need to show them how much they mean to us.

God Bless....

I feel sorry with you, but this is the way of life, isn't it? One day in future soon or later we will pass away like Maui.
