It is with a heavy heart that I
am writing to let you know that
Maui passed away today.
I thank you and everyone in our
community who has kept us in
your thoughts and prayers these
past few days.
I know that Maui was a little
part of a lot of people's lives.
I am going to disconnect from email
for a few days, but if you would
like to send your condolences or
words of support, please post a
comment below.
Please know that I will read all
of your kind messages when I
re-emerge sometime next week.
Again, many thanks for your
support and prayers this past week.
Molly and I (and most importantly,
Maui) felt them. Thank you from
the bottom of my heart.
Thank you to everyone who has been sending us love and prayers and lots of posts. I am doing ok. I still need a few days to recover and get back to a place where I can read--let alone respond--to this amazing outpouring of love. Many many thanks... I truly appreciate everything and treasure this community.
Words cannot express how sorry I was to read this incredibly sad news. I am so glad that you and Molly can comfort each other during this very difficult time. As others have said before me, Maui is in a happier place as she has lost all of her earthly discomforts. Still, it lives a big gaping hole in our hearts. God bless and hoping you find some comfort in the wonderful memories of good times with Maui.
I am so very sorry, James and Molly. I know that losing a beloved pet is a very difficult thing to endure. Thank you so much for sharing Maui with all of us. Please know that your doing so has enriched many lives of humans and pets alike. Let the sorrow pass over you and know that the tincture of time will heal you.

I, as I'm sure all of us, understand. It takes alot of time to feel up to reading and replying to something like this. I lost a yorkie 2 years ago and when I talk about him or look at his pictures, I still cry. Maui will always be a part of you.
My love and prayers surround you .Maui has completed her mission on this plane. Let us release her with love and own the lessons she has brought us.
Much love
Joan
I know how hard it is to lose a furry member of the family. I hope that the many memories will help you get through this rough time. Maui will be with you in that special place in your heart where she has always been. It will be hard to go through all those things that you both shared. The walks, talks, and everything else. As with all of us who have had to say good bye for now to the friends that gave us all they had without question time will help. May God bless and guide you at this time.
Sherry
Dear James, I am so sad for you. I know you had many good years with Maui, and she with you. She has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and has her health, her sight, and is playing with all our dearly departed pets. Sincere condolences, Maria
I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Maui. I know how hard it is to lose something so dear.
Today is the first day, that I received your poem, and it touched me dearly. I just want to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart. It really makes you stop, slow down and enjoy life.
James, There are many things that I could say that would be meant to bring you comfort....for in my heart I literally feel your pain. (on June 29th Blaze was fighting for her life. The operation was a success. On July 6th, I kissed her a forever goodbye) I know of nothing that has eased my heartache except kisses from Blue and Milo...so to your heart.....a soft gentle kiss. Gin
Dearest James and Molly, I was so sad to read about Maui's sickness and her passing on. I know how you feel, as I have gone through that same terrible situation before. But remember the wonderful life you had together and somehow that will help to feel a little better. Just remember now she is feeling fine, running and playing as when she was a lovely puppy; and that she wiil be waiting for you to be together again forever. Receive all my love. I'll be praying for you so you will start feeling better soon. Love, Isabel
