About Me:: I live in NC. Born and raised in VA, would love to go back there some day. I love to quilt and do computer crafts. I live for my Callie. She is a rescue dog and has a liver shunt. She is the happiest most affection dog I have ever owned and she is a joy. She is a Maltese/Poodle - PROBABLY! You never know what you get with a rescue dog.

What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?: As a rescue dog, Callie was very frightened when I first got her. She still shows some fear over little things that I think go back to whoever owned her previously. BUT inspite of these fears, she loves me unconditionally. She still cowers when I come home but all she needs is a gentle touch and she's jumping for joy and so excited to see me. A gentle touch, whether it is physical or emotional, opens your heart to the wonders of love in all of us. I know Callie needs only one touch and she showers me with hugs and kisses that make me feel on top of the world!

He has lots of little quirks when it comes to food, so I would definitely say that he is "finicky". He only likes very small bite-sized pieces, for instance. He will not touch anything bigger that about 1/2 inch X 1/2 inch! He also does not like
his food all mixed up; but likes to be able to see the separate pieces which I have actually watched him pick out the pieces of the food he likes best first......then work his way down to the least liked things, like veggies. He cracks me up with it sometimes. He will not eat unless I am sitting right there by him either.....eating at the same time. I could go on and on; but, suffice to say.....your Callie has probably come by her quirks honestly from the breed, too.
