About Me:: I love dogs but am especially crazy about golden retrievers. Absolutely love this breed because of their gentle and loving nature.

What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?: She instantly forgives me for being in a crabby mood and is always so loving no matter what.

At 6:15pm on August 19, 2008, Karen said…: I will be great to see pics of your Golden 'niece!" Goldie is small, too. She is only about 40-45 pounds. Her size might be from the "mix" part of her. But she is more than her weight in love, affection, and sweetness!! I used to have German Shephards. I grew up with them and loved them. I had one mix before Goldie, but unfortunately, he was killed by a reckless driver. Goldie is my first experience with Goldens. I decided on a Golden, as my brother has two and talks very highly of them. I am glad that I took the "Golden" plunge!

Every time Goldie sees us when we come home from the store, or when we get up in the morning, her tails wags so hard and her back half of her body moves with it. We call it her "Happy Tail!" I lived in Sterling Heights, MI from 1980-2003, before moving to Alabama. Sterling Heights is about 25 miles north of Detroit, MI.

She is such a wonderful dog! She is so gentle, loving, faithful, loyal, affectionate, etc. Well, you know how Goldens are! They are truly a wonderful breed!
