This is Scooter, he's a yorkie I rescued that was found on the streets of New York. When I got him, he had a broken tail, some missing teeth, kennel cough and cherry eye and a very bad attitude. On the way home with him, I thought. "What have I done, I have this stinky, mangie looking animal in the back of my car?" But I got home and fed him and gave him a bath, then sat on the kitchen floor cutting matts from his hair. I loved that little dog so much, he became a part of me. One year later he developed Conjestive Heart Failure and his lungs would fill up with fluid. I gave him medicine for it for quite awhile. I asked the Vet, "what should I do?" The Vet said, "Linda, you'll know when it's time, he'll let you know" I was soooo sad, every trip to the Vet. Then after having seizures and falling over, I came home from work one day and he didn't come to greet me at the door as usual. He was laying on the floor and couldn't get up. He was concious but just couldn't get up. As I bent down to pet him, I looked into his eyes and I knew, I just knew it was time. I had to take him to the Vet to be put down that day. I called my friend later to tell her and we cried and cried. I could still cry when I talk about him or think about him. The day before he chased a rabbit across the yard. Scooter was cremated.

I'm so sorry for your lose of family members. That is very hard, I know how I felt when I lost my mom.
The big picture I have on my page is the first dog I rescued. The really little guy is the next one I rescued and Lacy is his mother. I got her from a breeder who wanted to retire her from breeding.
I'll get back to you on the uploading of your photos.
Linda :)
