Just thought I'd leave a comment before I get off here. Your little Daisy is really cute! I keep my yorkies short too. The long hair is too much work for me!
Hi Bobbie, your Daisy is so cute! She reminds me of our next door neighbors (our dogs "grandparents') dog "Chindie". Yes, they are wonderful, fun, loving dogs! Izzy is about 4.5 lbs, pretty small, but she is a "big dog in a little dogs body"! I was always a cat person till her and now can't believe how much I love that little dog! She brings me so much happiness. it's funny, when I got her my husband did not want her, and now I think she is more his dog than mine! I know I will always have one now. I mentioned the next door neighbors who have one, it is actually our dogs cousin. (their dads are brothers). Our neighbors come and get her everyday while we are at work to play with their yorkie, and when we go on vacations, they babysit! We are so fortunate to have such a great agreement with them, as I am very picky who I will leave her with! Aren't they just like our kids? I will not trust just "anyone" with her! Thank you for writing! And enjoy your little Daisy!
Hi Again,
I am not sure I have presented the picture of my yorky the right way, but I am trying....did not think it would come out that large. Anyway she is my little girl. I have had many Yorkies along the way, but I purchased this one sight unseen, (dumb) but it worked out perfect. She is just a little angel, and one of the cutest, most loving, and smart yorkies I have ever had. She is 9 now, and acts like a young dog. She has never been ill, and minds very well. I feel so lucky to have such a great companion.
I can't wait to see your pictures. Spike is eating ok. I don't think I'll ever break him off throwing his food around. I believe he was teased with his food by his previous owner's kids. That's why he's so skittsy.
HI AGAIN,
YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT GETTING AN OLDER DOG. WHEN THE TIME COMES I WILL FOR SURE. I WORK WITH THE GALS THAT WORK AT THE SPCA , I HAVE TO HAVE A DOG, I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LIVE WITHOUT A LITTLE FUR BALL DOGGIE.
DAISY IS STILL HERE AT 9, BUT LILY IS GONE AND I STILL CAN REMEMBER HOW LOVING SHE WAS, SHE WAS TOTALLY DEVOTED TO ME.
GUESS I BETTER GO AND GIVE HER DINNER, SHE IS WATCHING ME AND HAS NOT TAKEN HER EYES OFF ME SINCE I HAVE BEEN ON THE COMPUTER, SHE IS TELLING ME SHE WANTS HER DINNER. I WILL SEND YOU A PICTURE SOON..HAVE TO DIG A CUTE ONE UP...BOBBIE..OH I WILL SEND ONE OF ME ALSO....
I know how you feel. I lost a yorkie a few years ago from heart failure. I had to make the decison to put him down and it was very hard. Just remember, you gave Daisy a good home and a good life. I'm 61, but I wouldn't hesitate to get another dog if I lost mine. You're only as old or young as you feel. An older rescue would be great for a woman like you. I would always rescue a dog rather than have a puppy.

I see you have a yorky too. Very lively little creatures. I just love them.
